O R D E R

The petitioners apprehend threat to their life and limb at the hands of the private respondents. They therefore want police protection to be granted.

2. If the act of the private respondents amounts to commission of any cognizable offence, it is open to the petitioners to lodge a complaint before the third respondent and the third respondent is obliged to register an FIR and act as per law. Grant of police protection is not possible.

3. With this direction to the third respondent, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
