Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Solicitor General appearing for the respondent.

2.The Inspector of Police, Keelathooval Police Station registered Crime No.95 of 2018 on 18.10.2018 based on the complaint of the Village Administrative Officer of Vengalakurichi Group, Mudukulathur Taluk, that there is an unidentified corpse. Inspite of the steps taken, the identity of the deceased could not be established. However, the finger prints of the deceased have been taken. The Investigation Officer wants to match the same with that of the Aadhar finger prints in the database maintained by the respondent. However such an information can be disclosed by the respondent only based on the direction given by a Judge of the High Court. Therefore, this petition has been filed by the Investigation Officer.

Crl.O.P(MD)No.1107 of 2022 3.No exception can be taken to the request made by the petitioner herein. The petitioner wants to match and verify the finger print impression of the deceased pertaining to Crime No.95 of 2018 with the Aadhar records maintained by the respondent. This is only for the purpose of furthering the investigation. Therefore, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed. The respondent is directed to match and verify the finger print analysis of the deceased in Crime No.95 of 2018 with the Aadhar records maintained by them and furnish all the relevant details to the petitioner at the earliest.
