respondents to combine the temporary service rendered by him from 21.08.1990 to 01.11.2001 to his permanent service for the purpose of calculation of service benefits of the petitioner and further direct the respondents to calculate and release the difference amount within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

The instant writ petition has been filed by a Drawing Teacher working in the Government Higher Secondary School, seeking a Mandamus as against the respondents 1 and 2 herein to calculate the temporary services rendered by the writ petitioner from 21.08.1990 to 01.11.2001 for the purpose of calculating pensionary benefits.

2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the petitioner was initially appointed as a Part Time Waterman in the Government Higher Secondary School, Shobanapuram, on 21.08.1990 and his services were made permanent with effect from 30.10.2001. 2/6

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner was transferred to Government Higher Secondary School, Thottiyam as a Watchman on 30.10.2003. The petitioner was promoted as a Record Clerk on 03.12.2010 and as a Lab-Assistant on 23.09.2012. Finally, the petitioner was promoted as a Drawing Teacher with effect from 09.02.2021. As on today, he is working in Government Higher Secondary School, Natham, Trichy District. It is the further claim of the writ petitioner that he is about to retire on 30.06.2028.

In such circumstances, the petitioner has sent a representation on 06.01.2025 to the respondents 1 and 2 herein, seeking to calculate the temporary services of the writ petitioner from 21.08.1990 till 01.11.2001 for the purpose of calculating his pension. Since the said representation has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

5. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 3/6

6. Considering the above said facts, the first respondent herein is directed to consider the representation of the writ petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
