O R D E R
The instant writ petition has been filed by a Night Watchman working in the Government Higher Secondary School, seeking a Mandamus as against the respondents 1 and 2 herein to calculate the temporary services rendered by him from 14.06.1990 to 30.10.2001 for the purpose of calculating pensionary benefits.
2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the petitioner was initially appointed as a Sweeper in the Government Higher Secondary School, Sobanapuram, on 14.06.1990. Thereafter through a proceeding dated 30.10.2001, he was made permanent in the post of night watchman in Government Higher Secondary School, Uppliapuram. 2/5

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner was transferred to Government Higher Secondary School, Sobanapuram as a Night Watchman, by proceeding dated 02.07.2002. The petitioner was joined services as night watchman from 08.07.2002. As on today, he is working in Government Higher Secondary School, Sobanapuram. It is the further claim of the writ petitioner that he retired from service on 29.02.2024.

In such circumstances, the petitioner has sent a representation on 06.01.2025 to the respondents 1 and 2 herein, seeking to calculate the temporary services of the writ petitioner from 14.06.1990 till 30.10.2001 for the purpose of calculating his pension. Since the said representation has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.
5. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
6. Considering the above said facts, the first respondent herein is directed to consider the representation of the writ petitioner and pass orders 3/5
on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
