PRAYER: The Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code, to call for the records and to quash the FIR in Crime No.20 of 2014 dated 08.04.2014 on the file of the Anti Land Grabbing Special Cell, Kanyakumari District at Nagercoil insofar as the petitioner is concerned.

O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in crime No.20 of 2014 dated 08.04.2014 on the file of the Anti Land Grabbing Special Cell, Kanyakumari District at Nagercoil.

2.Earlier, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that there is a possibility of settlement and compromise talk is going on between the parties. Therefore, the matter was directed to be listed today for reporting settlement.

3.Today, when the matter is taken up for final disposal, there is no representation for the petitioner.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that investigation is almost over and the respondent police requires one month time to file final report.

5.Recording the above submission, this criminal original petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
