ORDER

When the matter is taken up for hearing today, Learned Additional Government Pleader for the First and Second Respondents produced a letter dated 31.01.2020, from the First Respondent informing him that the Petitioner has died on 19.01.2014, which is placed on record.

Though the said fact had been reported to this Court during the hearing on 06.10.2020, no application has been filed by the legal heirs so far to bring them on record so as to continue the proceedings.

After the death of the Petitioner, no useful purpose would be served in keeping the Writ Petition pending without substituting the legal representatives of the Petitioner. Hence, the Writ Petition is dismissed as abated leaving it open to the legal representatives of the Petitioner to apply for revival of the Writ Petition in accordance with law. No costs.
