ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's petition in connection with Petition No.3854645/2025/B4 dated 03.10.2025 for rectification of mistake in UDR Scheme under G.O.385 within stipulated time.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. Since no adverse orders are going to be passed against the respondents 2 to 4, notice to the respondents 2 to 4 is hereby dispensed with.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an aggrieved person on account of an error in the UDR records relating to the subject property, which requires rectification by the competent authority. Hence, the petitioner submitted a petition dated 03.10.2025 to the first respondent seeking rectification of the said error in the UDR records in accordance with law. Despite the receipt of the same, the first respondent has not

considered or disposed of the same within a reasonable time. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

5. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent would submit that the petitioner's petition will be considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's petition dated 03.10.2025, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and any other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
