Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 to 6 to forebear from shifting the high voltage line, otherwise known as high tension line of electricity which is the feeder from Parvathipuram Sub-Station to Manavakurichy in Kanyakumari District, from its present location, and placing the same over 9th Cross Street, S.S.Nagar, Aloor Village, Aloor Town Panchayat, in Kanyakumari District.

ORDER

The present writ petition is filed seeking a Mandamus for forbearing the authorities of the Electricity Board from shifting the high tension line from Parvathipuram Sub-Station to Manavakurichy and to a different place in S.S.Nagar Aloor Village.

2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Electricity Board authorities on instructions submitted that the proposal for shifting the said line has been dropped by the department. The said statement is recorded. Nothing remains to be adjudicated in the writ petition.
