Ramanathapuram District based on the proceedings of the third respondent dated 13.08.2025 and the subsequent representation of the petitioner dated 08.12.2025 within a reasonable time frame stipulated by this Court.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by N.SATHISH KUMAR, J.) The instant writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to remove the illegal encroachment in the public land classified as 'Ayyanar Kovil Kalam Natham' in revenue records. 2.It is the case of the petitioner that the private respondent, namely the fourth respondent has encroached the vacant land in Survey No.281/14, Anichakudi Village, Ariyankottai Revenue Group, Rajasingamangalam Taluk, Ramanathapuram Revenue Group, Ramanathapuram District. Despite several representations to the authorities concerned, no action has been taken as against the fourth respondent for removal of such encroachment. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

3.Pursuant to the earlier direction of this Court, the Tahsildar has filed a status report stating that the Tahsildar has initiated action under the provisions of Land Encroachment Act and notice under Section 7 of the Act followed by eviction notice under Section 6 of the Act has been issued to the fourth respondent. Challenging the said eviction notice, the fourth respondent has filed an appeal before the District Collector and the same is presently pending before the first respondent. 4.In view of the subsequent development and considering the fact that the appeal filed by the fourth respondent is pending before the first respondent, this Court directs the first respondent to consider and dispose of the said appeal as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
