: Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to take immediate action to close all the open septic tanks in Karambakudi Taluk, Pudukottai District and direct the respondent NO.1 and respondent No.3 to take appropriate action against the officials, who are responsible for the death of children by name Krithik Roshan, S/o.Kumar, aged about 6 years, and Aravind, S/o.Kumar, aged about 4 years by felling into the uncovered septic tank in Karambakudi, Pudukottai District in accordance with law. ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) The petitioner has come forward with this pro bono litigation seeking two reliefs, namely, to close the uncovered septic tanks and to take action for the accident occurred due to such non closure. 2.The learned counsel for the respondent No.4 furnished the instructions given by the said authority to the office of the Government Pleader indicating that uncovered open septic tanks have been closed. However, it is submitted that appropriate action would be taken against those, who are responsible for the loss of two innocent lives.
3.In such view of the matter, the writ petition stands closed with a direction to the respondent No.4 to initiate appropriate action against the erring officials. No costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
