PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the first respondent from granting permission or approval for putting up any structures or construction by the fourth respondent in the petitioner's land in Survey No.192/2 Aruppukottai Village, Virudhunagar District for running a sawmill forthwith within the campus of the petitioner's Devangar Arts College.

ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus forbearing the first respondent Municipality from granting any approval for running a sawmill by the fourth respondent within the petitioner's premises.

2. On instructions, the learned counsel for the first respondent submits that the fourth respondent has vacated the premises eight years 2/4

back. The learned Standing Counsel for the second respondent Electricity Board also submits that the service connection has been disconnected already. Hence, the request of the petitioner does not survive any longer to be considered.

3. Recording the above said facts, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. 25.07.2022 gbg Index :
