ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned 1st Additional district and Sessions Judge (PCR) Court, Thanjavur, to consider the bail application of the petitioners on the same day of their surrender before that Court in connection with Crime No.592/2025 on the file of the 2nd respondent police.

2. Considering the nature of the relief sought for, notice to the 3rd respondent is dispensed with.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioner and the respondent/defacto complainant are neighbours. Due to a previous motive, the petitioner allegedly scolded the complainant using filthy language and her caste name. Based on these allegations, an FIR in crime No.592 of 2025 on the file of the 2nd respondent police for the alleged offences U/s. 296(b) of BNS r/2. Section 3(1)(r) & 3(1)(s) of the SC & ST Act, 2015.

4. Heard the learned counsels on either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.

Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for, this Court hereby direct the learned 1st Additional district and Sessions Judge (PCR) Court, Thanjavur, to issue prior notice to the de facto complainant and thereafter to consider the bail application of the petitioners on the same day of their surrender before that Court in connection with Crime No.592 of 2025 on the file of the 2nd respondent police. The petitioner shall surrender before the learned Trial Court within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
