O R D E R

The petitioner apprehends threat to his life and limb at the hands of the private respondents. He therefore wants police protection to be granted.

2. If the act of the private respondents amounts to commission of any cognizable offence, it is open to the petitioner to lodge a complaint before the second respondent and the second respondent is obliged to register an FIR and act as per law. Grant of police protection is not possible.

3. With this direction to the second respondent, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
