ORDER
Even though the prayer in the writ petition is to direct the respondents to appoint a Special Officer for the conduct of Masi Mahasivarathiri festival commencing from 14.01.2025 to 28.02.2025, it is seen that the petitioner had made a representation with the respondents on 02.01.2025 for such appointment and the same is also pending consideration with the respondents.
2. Considering the fact that the Masi Mahasivarathiri festival only occurs in the Tamil month of 'Masi', which is between 13.02.2025 and 14.03.2025, there shall be a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.01.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 14.02.2025 after affording an opportunity to the persons interested.
3. With the aforesaid directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Index : Yes / No 09.01.2025 Internet : Yes / No 2/4
