ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and limb, based on the representation dated 29.12.2025.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had given various complaints with respect to a land dispute with the 4th and 5th respondents since the petitioner's life is at danger.

3. Per contra, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that the petitioner had lodged several complaints against the 4th and 5th respondent for the same set of facts, with respect to the civil dispute relating to survey No.52/ 2B, Patta No.762, Neyveli Thenpathi Village, Thanjavur District, and all the complaints were closed. As on date there is no complaint is pending. Now it is understood that the petitioner had made this representation dated 29.12.2025.

4. Whenever a representation is made to a statutory authority the same should be considered and appropriate orders should be passed within a stipulated period of time. Non consideration of representation could amount to dereliction of duty.

5. In view of the same, respondent Nos.1 to 3 are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.12.2025, in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
