This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to transfer the electricity connection in the petitioner's name for service connection No. 05-227-010-1217 (agriculture service) for the agricultural land situated at Dindigul District, Vedasendur Taluk, Thennampatti Village in S.No. 620/2, based on her online application having Reference No. 2000522711231019, dated 07.11.2023.

According to the petitioner, she has purchased the agricultural land in S.Nos.620/2, 620/3 and 615/4 situated at Dindigul District, Vedasendur Taluk, Thennampatti Village, for a valid consideration through registered sale deed dated 11.09.2023. Thereafter, she applied for transfer of the electricity connection for the above said agricultural land in her name which stands in the name of Angappan @ Angamuthu. The said application was submitted through online on 07.11.2023. But 2/5

the same was not considered so far. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondents.

Considering the above said facts, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 07.11.2023 and pass appropriate orders regarding transfer of electricity connection in the name of the petitioner, after holding an enquiry, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
