This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent Nos.1 and 2 to direct the respondents No.3 and 4 to restore the Free Electricity Service Connection 2/6

No.07-306-016-376 for the petitioner's agricultural Well in Survey No. 406/4 in Onamakulam Village Panchayat, Veerapandiya Pulikulam, Kayathar Taluk, Tuticorin District, wrongly given to the 5th respondent in Survey No.248/2 in Thennampatti Village, Kayathar Taluk, Tuticorin District to him, by considering his representation dated 27.06.2023.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the original service connection number allotted to him is 07-306-016-376 and the same was wrongly given to the fifth respondent herein. Hence, he has made a representation to the first respondent on 27.06.2023, seeking to restore the Free Electricity Service Connection No.07-306-016-376. Since the said representation has not been considered by the respondents, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 4. 3/6

4. Considering the above said facts, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.06.2023 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
