ORDER

This writ petition is filed challenging the impugned notice dated 03.01.2024 issued by the respondent, wherein, the respondent has rejected the petitioner's application dated 31.12.2023 for the new electricity service connection to his house, which is situated in Survey No.62-6, Patta No.46, Government Hospital Street, Jumma Masjid Near, Kandanoor, Karaikudi Taluk, Sivagangai District.

2. It is seen that the petitioner's gave an application to the respondent for the new electricity service connection to his house, however, it was rejected by the respondent by the impugned order dated 03.01.2024. Hence, challenging the same, he filed the present writ petition.

3. Mr.S.Deenadhayalan, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner has not changed patta and house tax receipts, hence, the respondent has rejected his claim. However, the 2/4

learned Standing Counsel would submit that if the petitioner has filed the indemnity bond, the respondent will take steps to provide electricity service connection.

4. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to file the indemnity bond and after receiving the indemnity bond, the respondent shall provide electricity service connection to the petitioner's house by following the procedures.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
