O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent (i.e.,) the Superintendent of Police, Railways, Tiruchirapalli, to implement the order passed in D.O.No.341/2022 C.No.B2/6255/2022 dated 05.08.2022 by him, by disbursing the amount mentioned in order dated 05.08.2022 within a time frame fixed by this Court.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was serving as Deputy Superintendent of Police (Railways), Madurai and his date of superannuation was on 31.03.2016. But, he was not allowed to retire from service and was placed under suspension. Thereafter, in G.O(2D).No.280, Home (Pol.2) Department dated 05.11.2020, the Government has dropped the disciplinary action against the

petitioner and three others. It was also reported before this Court in W.P(MD).No.6281 of 2016 filed by the petitioner and relying on the said statement, this Court has also closed the said writ petition on 15.02.2021. Thereafter, the second respondent vide proceedings in D.O.No.341/2022 C.No.B2/6255/2022 dated 05.08.2022 sanctioned financial benefits such as increments in the cadre of SI of Police and Inspector of Police and Deputy Superintendent of Police and movement to Selection Grade in the Cadre of SI as well as Inspector Category. However, the said order has not been implemented. Hence, the petitioner has made representations on 05.10.2022, 04.11.2022 and 18.11.2022 to the second respondent. However, till date, no action has been taken for disbursement of the said benefits. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that this Court may issue a direction to the second respondent to implement the order passed in D.O.No.341/2022 C.No.B2/6255/2022 dated 05.08.2022.

4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the 1st respondent.

Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, is inclined to issue a direction to the second respondent to implement the order passed in D.O.No.341/2022 C.No.B2/6255/2022 dated 05.08.2022 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
