ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by T.RAJA., J) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed to produce the detenu by name Thowfic, Son of Yusuf, aged about 26 years before this Court and set him at liberty.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing today, no one appears for the petitioner. Therefore, this Court passed over the matter and took up the same at 1.25 p.m. Even then, there was no representation for the petitioner. However, Mr.K.Dinesh Babu, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents on instructions submitted that the detenu was arrested on 15.01.2020 and produced before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

H.C.P.(MD)No.54 of 2020 Kuzhithurai on 16.01.2020 in connection with the case in Crime No.9 of 2020 on the file of Kaliyakkavilai Police Station and remanded to Judicial Custody. He has also produced the copy of the remand report.

3.Since the detenu has been arrested and remanded to Judicial custody, nothing survives for adjudication in this Habeas Corpus Petition. Hence, this Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed.
