ORDER
The Petitioner has prayed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's UDR Appeal dated 20.02.2020 pending before him.
2.Mr.SRA.Ramachandran, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.The case of the petitioner is that in the subject matter property, the petitioner's father is entitled 1/3 share, however, in the UDR changes, the patta was transferred to other legal heirs alone and the petitioner's father's name was missing. Hence, the petitioner made a representation along with the documents to the District Collector, Sivagangai and the same was not considered. Hence, she made another representation-cum-appeal to the respondent on 20.02.2020, who is the authority of the UDR appeal changes. The respondent, after issuing notice, had conducted enquiry. Though the enquiry has been completed, till date, no order has been passed by the respondent. Hence, the present petition has been filed. 2/5
4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner's appeal will be disposed of in accordance with law by the respondent within the time stipulated by this Court.
5.In view of the above said submission, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the respondent to to dispose of the appeal, dated 20.02.2020 preferred by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, the writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
