Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to measure the petitioner's land measuring an extent of 2 acre 67 cents comprised in S.F.No.192/6, situated at 13, Urappanur Bit-2, Thirumangalam Taluk, Madurai District, and consequently fix the four boundaries. ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for a mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to measure the petitioner's land, measuring an extent of 2 acre 67 cents, comprised in S.F.No.192/6, situated at 13, Urappanur Bit-2, Thirumangalam Taluk, Madurai District, and consequently fix the four boundaries.

2. The petitioner, who is the owner of the subject lands, having purchased the same under various sale deeds, was issued with patta in Patta No.2812. As the neighbours tried to trespass into the petitioner's property without any right, the petitioner submitted an application for survey and fixing of boundaries of his lands on 23.01.2024, along with necessary fee, before the respondents. As no action was taken on the petitioner's application, the petitioner sent a representation on 11.12.2024 to the respondents. But, even thereafter, no steps were taken by the respondents. Therefore, the petitioner filed the above Writ Petition for the aforesaid relief.

3. Learned Government Advocate, on instructions, submits that survey is to be held on 29.01.2025.

4. In view of the submission of the learned Government Advocate that survey is to be conducted on 29.01.2025, a direction is issued to the respondents to conduct survey in accordance with the directions of this Court in W.P(MD)No.12676 of 2024, dated 14.06.2024, within a period of twelve weeks.

5. Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. 10.01.2025 NCC :
