PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to produce the body or person of the detenu Naga Kaniga, aged about 19 years, D/o.Sundaramoorthy before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. The petitioner is the father of the detenu. The petitioner gave girl missing complaint before the second respondent. Since the girl was not traced, the present Habeas Corpus petition came to be filed.

3. The respondent police have produced the girl before us. The girl is aged 19 years. She informed us that she got married to one Ganesan and that she is happily living with him at Hosur. The said Ganesan appeared before us. He stated that he is working as Quality Checking Inspector in TVS company and he is earning around Rs.20,000/- per month. Naga Kaniga informed us that she wants to go only with her husband and not with her father. The detenu has already attained majority. It is open to her to live on her own. It is for the petitioner to resolve the differences with his daughter. This Habeas Corpus petition stands disposed of.
