Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 5 to ensure that the unanimous resolutions resolved in the peace committee meeting held on 04.12.2011 and its regulations are being strictly followed while conducting Moharam Festival for this year between 04.11.2013 and 03.12.2013 at the Chavadies situated at Lebbai Valavu Street and 6th Street, Eruvadi, Tirunelveli District and further direct the respondents 1 to 5 to take stringent action as against the violators of the said resolutions in accordance with law. This Writ Petition has been filed seeking Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 5 to ensure that the unanimous resolutions resolved in the peace committee meeting held on 04.12.2011 and its regulations are being strictly followed, while conducting Moharam Festival between 04.11.2013 and 03.12.2013 at the Chavadies situated at Lebbai Valavu Street and 6th Street, Eruvadi, Tirunelveli District and to directing the respondents 1 to 5 to take stringent action as against the violators of the said resolutions. 2/4

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel for the sixth respondent are present.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned counsel for the sixth respondent and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents 1 to 5 would submit that since the resolution was with respect to the Moharam Festival of the year 2013, nothing survives for further adjudication.
