O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records pertaining to the impugned order passed by the third respondent in Na.Ka.No. Page No. 2 of 7

2915592/2025/Aa6 dated 30.10.2025 and quash the same as illegal and consequently to direct the third respondent to rectify the mistake in the UDR patta in respect of (i) S.F.No.1182/1B and Old S.No.1045/1, measuring an extent of 60 cents and (ii) S.F.No.1267/1PT and Old S.No. 959, measuring an extent of 25 cents, situated at Pannaikadu Village, Kodaikanal Taluk, Dindigul District.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that during the UDR patta proceedings, an error has crept in with respect to the lands in S.F.No. 1182/1B and Old S.No.1045/1, to an extent of 60 cents, and S.F.No. 1267/1PT and Old S.No.959, to an extent of 25 cents, situated at Pannaikadu Village, Kodaikanal Taluk, Dindigul District.

4. The petitioner submitted representations to the third respondent. As the same were not considered, the petitioner filed a Writ Petition in W.P.(MD) No.23549 of 2024, which was disposed of on 03.10.2024, directing the third respondent to rectify the mistake. Since the said Page No. 3 of 7

direction was not complied with, the petitioner filed a Contempt Petition. Thereupon, the third respondent passed the impugned order, rejecting the petitioner's request and directing the petitioner to approach the Civil Court.

5. According to the petitioner, though the sixth respondent had submitted a report in favour of the petitioner, the third respondent failed to consider the same while passing the impugned order.

6. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first to seventh respondents would submit that there are civil disputes within the petitioner's family and therefore, the third respondent has stated in the impugned order that the petitioner may approach the Civil Court.

7. A perusal of the impugned order indicates that the third respondent has given adequate reasons for rejecting the petitioner's request, stating that there are pending civil disputes among the parties and that the subject lands have been the subject matter of several transactions. Therefore, this Court is of the view that in the event of the petitioner Page No. 4 of 7

approaching the Civil Court, all the documents, including the order passed by this Court and the report of the sixth respondent, shall be considered for the purpose of adjudication.

8. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
