ORDER
Mr.K.Sanjai Gandhi, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent-Police submits that the respondent-Police registered a case against the petitioners for the offences under Sections 498(A) and 406 of the Indian Penal Code, 1/3
1860 (Act 45 of 1860 and Sections 4 and 6 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 in Crime No.5 of 2025.
2. Mr.C.Sankar Prakash, learned counsel appearing for the defacto complainant submits that there is a chance for settlement. Hence, both sides request that the matter may be referred for mediation. Accordingly, the matter is referred to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to this Bench.
3. Therefore, the petitioners and the defacto complainant are directed to appear before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to this Bench on 24.02.2025 at 03.00 p.m. The process of mediation shall be commenced immediately. Upon the conclusion of the mediation process, list the matter before this Court on 17.03.2025 for mediation report.
