ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to rectify the error in the Field Measurement Book (FMB), particularly, in Survey No.24/1C1 of Singampunari South Village, on the basis of the registered settlement deed dated 31.01.2022 executed in favour of the petitioner, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 12.12.2025.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. Since no adverse orders are going to be passed against the respondents 3 and 4, notice to the respondents 3 and 4 is hereby dispensed with.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is entitled to the property comprised in Survey No.24/1C1 of Singampunari South Village by virtue of a registered settlement deed dated 31.01.2022 executed in his favour. The said title document clearly establishes the

petitioner's right and interest over the subject property. It is further submitted that there is an error in the Field Measurement Book (FMB) relating to the said survey number, which has resulted in incorrect revenue entries affecting the petitioner's lawful enjoyment of the property. In order to rectify the said error, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 12.12.2025 to the respondents 1 and 2. Despite receipt of the said representation, the respondents 1 and 2 have failed to take any action or pass orders in accordance with law. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the competent authority is the first respondent and that the first respondent would pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation 12.12.2025, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the respondents 3 and 4 and

any other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
