PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the second and third respondent to measure and demark the petitioner Scheduled property in T.Survey Nos.94/1A2, 94/1A3B, 94/1B, 94/1C Karumathur Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Chellampatti Sub Registration Office, Madurai District in the light of necessary payment paid by the petitioner, based on the receipt number (Receipt No.2025/0123/24/021794) dated on 15.11.2025 with the help of the 4th respondent to give adequate Police Protection till the completion of measuring the above said properties within the stipulated time.

The petitioner seeks a direction to carry out survey and demarcate the petitioner's property comprised in T.Survey Nos.94/1A2, 94/1A3B, 94/1B, 94/1C Karumathur Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Chellampatti Sub Registration Office, Madurai District, in the light of necessary payment paid by the petitioner, based on the receipt number (Receipt No. 2025/0123/24/021794) dated on 15.11.2025, with the help of the fourth respondent to give adequate Police Protection till the completion of measuring the above said properties within the stipulated time. 2/5
2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The petitioner complained that the survey and demarcation of his land had not been carried out as per his representation dated 15.11.2025.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that after considering the claims of all parties, proper steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the land in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.
5. In view of the above, this writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 15.11.2025 for survey and demarcation on merits and in accordance with law. Notice shall be issued to the petitioner and the owners of relevant adjacent lands and appropriate orders shall be passed in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil 3/5
Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act 1923, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the same can be agitated before the competent civil court. No costs.
