ORDER

The petitioner has come up with this petition seeking a direction to the 3rd respondent to register a case on his complaint dated 26.06.2015, wherein it is alleged that one Mr.Anantharaman, the President of Vatchakarapatty Panchayat and others have committed certain offences falling under the scope of Prevention of Corruption Act.

2. It is submitted by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that as directed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari vs. Govt. of U.P. & others [2013 (4) Crimes 243 (SC)], preliminary enquiry has been commenced in the matter and subject to the outcome of the same, necessary action will be taken.

3.It is made clear that in the preliminary enquiry, if it is prima faice found that any cognizable offence has been committed, the third respondent will register a case and if preliminary enquiry reveals, that no offence has been committed, he shall not register any case.

4. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
