W.P(MD)No.959 of 2020 elections to the post of Vice President of Pulivalam Panchayat, Thirumayam Panchayat Union, Pudukottai District. 2.Mr.K.Chellapandian, learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondents 2 to 4 submitted that the election was postponed on 11.01.2020 for want of quorum. Further, the learned Additional Advocate General submitted that since there were only three members available out of seven members, the election could not be conducted on 11.01.2020.
3.Mr.Raja Karthikeyan, learned counsel appearing for the first respondent submitted that the State Election Commission would notify the date of election shortly.
4.In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the first respondent and the learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondents 2 to 4, we are not inclined to give any further direction to the authorities. 5.Accordingly, the Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
