O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the impugned order dated 30.11.2020 passed by the second respondent. Under the said impugned order, the third respondent was selected for the post of Village Assistant, which, according to the petitioner, is illegal.

The petitioner claims that he ought to have been selected for the subject post instead of the third respondent, since the petitioner is possessed with priority certificates as the legal heir of an Ex-Serviceman and the legal heir of a freedom fighter. However, the contention of the petitioner has been disputed, as seen from the counter-affidavit filed by the second respondent before this Court.

3. The following are the undisputed facts:

(a). The subject post was allotted only for "Adi-Dravidar (General-Non Priority) candidates and not for Ex-Serviceman candidates. 2/5

(b). The third respondent, whose appointment has been challenged by the petitioner in this Writ Petition, belongs to the "Adi-Dravidar (General-Non Priority)" Category.

(c). The petitioner does not belong to the "Adi-Dravidar (General-Non Priority)" Category and claims priority only by virtue of being a son of Ex -Serviceman.

(d). By an appointment order dated 10.11.2020, the third respondent was appointed as a Village Assistant at Machur Village and has also joined duty. (e). The service of the third respondent was also regularized on 22.09.2023 itself.

4. The petitioner is not having the benefit of any interim relief in this Writ Petition, even though this Writ Petition is filed in the year 2021 itself.

5. For the foregoing reasons, this Court does not find any merit in this Writ Petition and accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
