PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to direct the second respondent not to harass the petitioner in the guise of enquiry in pursuance of the complaint of the third respondent on the file of the second respondent / police.

ORDER

This petition is filed by the petitioners seeking a direction to the second respondent not to harass them under the guise of an enquiry.

2. Mr.T.SenthilKumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2, on instructions would submit that based on the complaint lodged by the third respondent, the second respondent registered a case in CSR No.5 of 2024 and the same would be closed in due course of time.

3. Considering the aforesaid submissions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to follow the guidelines issued in the decision in the case of D.K.Basu Vs State of Bengal reported in AIR 1997 SC 610.
