O R D E R

The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioners are arrayed as Accused. This Petition had been filed by the Petitioners to quash the F.I.R in Crime No. 60 of 2020, pending on the file of the Inspector of Police, Melur Police Station, Madurai District. The second Respondent is the Defacto complainant. Subsequent to the filing of the case and during the pendency of the investigation, the daughter of the second Respondent and the first Accused / first Petitioner herein married with the blessing of the elders of both the families and living together as husband and wife and they are blessed with two children.

2. The learned Counsel for the second Respondent / Defacto complainant appeared and filed vakalat, the Joint Compromise Memo also filed. Photostat copy of the birth certificate of children to the first Accused and the second Respondent also furnished.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), on instructions of the first Respondent, had filed status report that the first accused and the daughter of the second Respondent / Defacto complainant had living as husband and wife. Their copy of the Aadhar Cards and also statement obtained from the Defacto complainant and the accused had also enclosed in the status report.

4. In the light of the Joint Compromise Memo filed by the Petitioners and the Defacto complainant / second Respondent and also the report of Sub Inspector of Police, Melur Police Station, Madurai District, F.I.R in Crime No. 60 of 2020, is liable to be quashed.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the F.I.R in Crime No.60 of 2020, pending on the file of the Inspector of Police, Melur Police Station, Madurai District, is hereby quashed.
