3 W.P.(MD)NO.822 OF 2023
2. The petitioner's child is studying in the sixth respondent school. The specific allegation of the writ petitioner is that the school management is indulging in social practices that are highly offensive and opposed to statutory provisions. It is further alleged that during the last four months, as many as three students have committed suicide. The petitioner therefore wants this Court to appoint a special officer for the school.
3. I am not persuaded by the contentions of the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner. Section 18A of the Tamil Nadu Recognised Private Schools (Regulation) Act 1973 is not intended to cover cases of this nature. Since it is for the educational authorities to take a call, it is not appropriate for this Court to issue any positive direction. This writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
