Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to consider the application of the petitioner for the post of Office Assistant in the 3rd respondent union as per the call letter dated 17.04.2015.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 2.The grievance of the petitioner is that though she had applied for the post of Office Assistant under the third respondent, through her application dated 18.07.2014, under the category of destitute widow, her candidature has not been considered till date. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner was called for an interview on 17.04.2015 and thereafter, there was no communication from the respondents and therefore, she has filed the present writ petition.
4.Today, when the matter was called, the learned Government Advocate, on instructions from the respondents, had produced the proceedings of the Selection Committee dated 17.08.2015, wherein, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.(MD) No.1173 of 2021 one K.Valarselvi, W/o Karupanan, who is also a destitute widow was appointed in the post, for which the petitioner had sought for appointment. Apparently, the petitioner's candidature has been rejected. Hence, no effective orders can be passed in the present writ petition, wherein the petitioner has seeks for consideration of the original application, pursuant to the call letter dated 17.04.2015, since the appointments have already been made. 4.Recording the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate, this writ petition stands closed. No costs.
