ORDER

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is for a direction to direct the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 20.09.2013 and issue suitable appointment on the basis of the marks obtained by the writ petitioner in the Teachers Eligibility Test.

2. Mere submission of representation would not confer any right on the candidate to seek appointment. Appointments are to be secured only by participating in the process of selection and after the selection list was finalised, mere passing of the Teachers Eligibility Test is not a ground to seek appointment to the Teaching Post. W.P(MD)No.19380/2013 qualifications for the purpose of participating in the process of selection and the same would not confer any right on the candidate to seek appointment to the Teaching post. Thus, the very claim set out in the writ petition is misconceived and this Court cannot direct to provide an appointment to the writ petitioner merely on the ground that the petitioner has completed the Teachers Eligibility Test. This being the factum, the writ petitioner is at liberty to participate in the process of selection, if any notified by the respondents, for appointment to the Teaching post. 3.Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
