Respondents in both writ petitions Common Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to first give the Petitioners permanent appointment to the post of Watchmen cum Armed Guard as per the Respondent's Rule as they are already selected to the said Post through the Proceedings of the 1st Respondent, dated 04.08.2006 and 17.03.2005 respectively, by filing up the existing vacancy in the Post of Watchman-Cum-Armed Guard and thereafter, fill the remaining vacancies in the Post of Watchmen-Cum-Armed Guard by fresh selected candidates who appeared in the interview and are selected long after selection of the Petitioner.

For Petitioners : Mr.V.R.Venkatesan (In both the WPs) For Respondents : Mr.S.Sethuraman for R2 (In both cases) COMMON ORDER These writ petitions are filed for issuing writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to give the Petitioners permanent appointment to the post of Watchmen-cum-Armed Guard as per the Respondent's Rules.

2.It is brought to the notice of this Court that it is held by this Court in similar cases that there is no question of giving employment to any of the petitioner, but, the candidates may be https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD).Nos.19539 & 20057 of 2013 eligible to get compensation as it was decided by a learned Single Judge of this Court in one case. In tune with the Judgment of the learned Single Judge it is stated that several batch of cases have been disposed of. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner himself has produced before this Court, the Judgment of a Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court made in W.A(MD).No.621 to 633 of 2013, dated 23.12.2020, in the case of Assistant General Manager, (Administration) and another Vs. Ramaiah. Though the writ petitions were dismissed by the Hon'ble Division Bench, it was observed that the disposal was in terms of the earlier order referred to in the order of the Hon'ble Division Bench. Learned counsel appearing for the second respondent has no objection for passing similar order. 3.These writ petitions are also disposed of in the same line as in the Writ Appeals in W.A.(MD).No.621 to 623 of 2013, dated 23.12.2020. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
