ORDER

The order, dated 03.10.2013, directing the writ petitioner who was holding the post of Joint Commissioner of HR & CE Department to vacate the temple residence, is under challenge in the present writ petition.

2.The writ petitioner being a Joint Commissioner of HR & CE Department on transfer is bound to vacate the official quarters. Further the house in which, the writ petitioner was residing belongs https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD).No.19575 of 2013 to the temple and accordingly, the order dated 03.10.2013 was issued, directing the writ petitioner to vacate the quarters, since he was transferred to Chennai.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the first respondent as well as the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the second respondent now made a submission that the writ petitioner had already vacated the quarters and paid rental arrears also. In this regard, a resolution was also passed by the Chairman of Arulmigu Meenakshi Sundareswarar Thirukoil, Madurai. Thus, the cause arose for filing of the writ petition did not exist as of now and accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
