ORDER
This writ petition is filed for a Mandamus, directing the second respondent/Director of Horticulture and Plantation Crops, Chennai, to refix the petitioner's scale of pay in the cadre of Deputy Horticultural Officer as per the proposal sent by the Deputy Director of Horticulture, Madurai, in his letter No.A1/2455/2019, dated 09.09.2021.

Today, when the writ petition is taken up for admission, Mr.G.V.Vairam Santhosh, learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents submits that the proposal has not been considered for want of time and they require eight more weeks to take a decision and pass final orders on the proposal made by the Deputy Director of Horticulture, Madurai, dated 09.09.2021.
3. Considering the said submission made on behalf of the respondents and also considering the fact that the Deputy Director of Horticulture, Madurai, has already made a proposal on 09.09.2021, this Court, without expressing anything on merits of the claim made by the petitioner, directs the second respondent to take a decision and pass final orders on the proposal made by the Deputy Director of Horticulture, Madurai, dated 09.09.2021, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
