PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to renewal of the petitioner's passport bearing No. L6437746 dated 28.12.2023 by considering his online application No.25-1066711331, dated 03.12.2025 and for other reliefs within a period stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus as against the first respondent to renew the passport of the petitioner based upon his application dated 28.12.2013.

2. The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the second respondent submits that the petitioner has been implicated in a criminal case in Cr.No.161 of 2025 on the file of the second respondent police which has culminated in filing of a charge sheet in C.C.No.396 of 2025 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate Court, Thirupalaikudi.

3. Considering the above said facts, the petitioner is directed to approach the concerned trial Court seeking permission of the Court to go abroad. In case if any such application is filed, the same shall be disposed of within a period of four weeks. Based upon the orders to be passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law.

4. With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
