ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to reopen the petitioner's School (i.e.) Dhanamani Viddyasala Middle School, Goripalayam, Madurai-2, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 31.03.2013.

2. Due to lack of basic amenities and reduction in the strength of the students, the School was closed by the third respondent herein. The third respondent had sent a recommendation to the first respondent on 06.06.2013 for closure of the school. The said application is still pending with the first respondent herein.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submits that the petitioner is no longer interested in the prayer relating to reopening of the School. They will be satisfied, if the building is handed 2/4

over to the writ petitioner. The petitioner is directed to send a representation to the first respondent to the said effect. The learned Counsel for the writ petitioner submits that they have sent a representation to the first respondent herein on 19.07.2022, accepting the closure of the school and to hand over the building to the writ petitioner. The first respondent is directed to pass orders on the said representation within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 04.08.2022 Index :
