O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.11.2025 and issue patta in favour of the petitioner for the land in Survey No.7/4, Nilaiyur 1st Bit Village, Thiruparankundram South Taluk,

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that he purchased the subject property on 10.03.1997. In order to avail a loan for construction of a house in the said land, patta is required. Therefore, since the online portal/server for submitting the application for patta was not accessible, the petitioner submitted his application dated 25.11.2025 in person and also by RPAD to the respondents. However, till date, the respondents have not taken any action on the petitioner's application. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's application dated 25.11.2025 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed within a period of twelve weeks.

Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 25.11.2025 and pass appropriate orders on its merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The application shall be disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The respondents are also directed to provide a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties who may be affected by such decision before passing any order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to pursue their remedies before the competent Civil Court. There shall be no order as to costs.
