Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent to grant permission forthwith and police protection for Pongal Festival Program from 15.01.2026 to 16.01.2026 at Sreeman Narayanaswamy Temple Premises, Kanahappapuram, Anjugramam Village, Agasteeswaram Taluk, Kanniyakumari District, by considering the petitioner's representations, dated 04.01.2026 and 07.01.2026 respectively.

ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent to grant permission forthwith and police protection for Pongal Festival Program from 15.01.2026 to 16.01.2026 at Sreeman Narayanaswamy Temple Premises, Kanahappapuram, Anjugramam Village, Agasteeswaram Taluk, Kanniyakumari District, by considering the petitioner's representations, dated 04.01.2026 and 07.01.2026 respectively.

2.This Court without expressing any opinion on merits is directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations, dated 04.01.2026 and 07.01.2026, and pass orders after hearing the rival group in accordance to law at the earliest. 3.With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
