This petition has been filed, seeking to direct the respondents 3 to 7 to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner, dated 23.07.2019 sent for the purpose of disbursement of arrears of increased pay to the petitioner from 01.01.1996 to 31.12.2006.

2. Mr.M.Jeyakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 to 4, 6 and 7. Mr.R.Sethuraman, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the fifth respondent. By consent of parties, this Writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the stage of admission itself. 3.The case of the petitioner is that he is entitled to the arrears of the increased pay, which has been admittedly disbursed to other Co-Panchayat Assistants. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation, dated 23.07.2019 for disbursement of the arrears and since no order has been passed on his representation, the petitioner is before this Court seeking the direction stated supra.

4.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents, who would submit that the fifth respondent is prepared to consider the representation of the petitioner and to pass suitable order on the same.

5.In view of the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the fifth respondent to consider the representation, dated 23.07.2019, submitted by the petitioner and to pass appropriate orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if there is no legal impediment to do so. 2/3

6.With the above direction, this Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
