PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to give Electricity Service Connection to the petitioner's dwelling house at Plot No.70 in S.No. 118/5A to an extent of 2 cents respectively situated at Kanchirankudi Village, Keelakkarai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus as against the respondents to provide electricity service connection to the residential house of the writ petitioner.

2. According to the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents, the petitioner has just given a representation and he has not made any application in the statutory format.

3. In view of the above said facts, the petitioner is directed to make a proper online application along with necessary documents and remit the charges for the same. On such application being made, the respondents are directed to consider the said application and proceed in accordance wtih law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of online application.

4. With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
