O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by DR.G.JAYACHANDRAN) The Writ Petition is filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to forthwith convene the Madurai City Municipal Corporation Council Meeting, since for the past more than three months after the resignation of elected Mayor, the Council Meeting has not been convened. 2.The learned Additional Advocate General took notice on behalf of third respondent and sought time when the matter came up for admission. Accordingly, the matter was adjourned and posted for further orders today. The learned Additional Advocate General reported that the Commissioner has issued notice for convening the Council Meeting of Madurai Corporation on 10.2.2026.

3.Recording the said submission, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition to implead the 6th respondent as sixth respondent in the main Writ Petition stands closed.
