ORDER

Seeking to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to take appropriate legal action on the petitioner's complaint dated 05.01.2026, this criminal original petition is filed.

2.Considering the nature of the order to be passed, notice to the respondents 3 and 4 is dispensed with.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the third respondent, who is the wife of the petitioner, had eloped with the fourth respondent more than ten years ago. However, the grievance of the petitioner is that during the period when the third respondent was living with him, he had executed a settlement deed in respect of all his immovable properties in favour of the third respondent, allegedly on her inducement. After obtaining the settlement deed in her favour, she subsequently eloped with the fourth respondent and now, with an 2/5

intention to harm the petitioner, the third and fourth respondent are together trying to kidnap the petitioner, for which, the petitioner had made a complaint before the second respondent Police on 05.01.2026. The inaction of the second respondent police has necessitated the filing of the present petition by the petitioner.

4.The learned Government Advocate (crl.side), on instructions, submitted that they have not received any complaint in person, but the complaint mentioned by the learned counsel for the petitioner has been sent by post. In this regard, the second respondent police would look into the matter.

5.In view of the above, directing the second respondent police to deal with the aforesaid case in accordance with law, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
