ORDER

The present petition is filed seeking permission to conduct Kabadi Event from 6.00 pm on 27.01.2024 to 4.00 pm on 28.01.2024.

2. Mr.T.Senthil Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the Respondents filed a status report stating that day and night Kabadi is not feasible due to cold weather during night hours.

3. In Madurai during January, average lower / night Temperature has never gone below 25o C and therefore, there is no force in the reasons mentioned by the police in denying the permission. In such circumstances, the concerned Police is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 28.12.2023 afresh and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. 2/4

4. With the above observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
