ORDER
Seeking direction to the 2nd respondent not to harass the petitioners, this criminal original petition is filed.
2.The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that with respect to alleged misappropriation done by one Seenidurai, the petitioners are continuously subjected to harassment by the second and third respondent police and hence, sought indulgence of this Court.
3.Per contra, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police, on instructions, submitted that said Seenidurai had misappropriated a huge amount of more than Rs.25,00,000/-. In this regard, the third respondent police had initiated an investigation and it was found that the said Seenidurai is frequently contacting the petitioners herein and only for the purpose of substantiating the connection between the petitioners and the said Seenidurai, the petitioners were required to appear before the 2nd respondent police, otherwise the petitioners were not at all subjected to any harassment. 4.Heard the submissions made on either side and perused the materials available on record.

5.In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioners that they are unrelated to whatever allegations pending as against the said Seenidurai, this Court is of the considered view that they should be protected and hence, to allay the petitioners' apprehensions and to ensure fairness, the following directions are issued: (a) If any details is required from the petitioners about the said Seenidurai/ accused in Crime No.19 of 2025, the respondent-police shall issue written summons/notice under Section 62 Cr.P.C., /64 BNSS, specifying the date, time, and purpose of enquiry. Oral or informal summons are prohibited. (b) The enquiry, if undertaken, shall be completed within two weeks from the date of the petitioner's appearance.
