ORDER
When the Writ Petition came up for hearing, the learned Counsel for the Petitioner sought a short adjournment.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions of the Respondents would submit that the Petitioner is seeking direction against the Respondents for granting permission to grant Police protection for providing Annathanam on the remembrance day of one N.Kumarvel Thevar, who is alleged to have been murdered.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submitted that as per the pamphlet issued by the Petitioner herein, who claims to be the treasurer of the Maruthu Senai Sangam, which is headed by one Aathi Narayana Devar, 2/5
against whom there are 11 cases out of which 3 murder cases, one of the murder was committed in the Court campus, Sivagangai, where the accused in that case had appeared for complying condition as per the bail condition imposed by the High Court. The accused in that case was murdered by the Petitioner's group. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions produced the list of cases. Also an earlier Writ Petition filed by the same Petitioner in W.P.(MD). 30073 of 2023 was dismissed as withdrawn vide order dated 03.01.2024.
4. Considering the vehement objections of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court is of the view that it is not the fit case, since there are group rivalry, when breach of peace in the villages and surrounding areas are reported by the police.
5. Hence, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. 29.01.2024 NCC:yes/no Index:yes/no Internet:yes/no Nsr 3/5
